Three time Grammy nominee for Best Instrumental Jazz Solo, Donny McCaslin was raised in Santa Cruz, California. After playing in his fathers band as a teenager Donny attended Berklee College of Music and, in his senior year, joined the Gary Burton Quintet.

Since moving to New York in 1991 Donny has recorded 11 CDs as a leader including his most recent 2015 release Fast Future produced by David Binney and featuring Tim Lefebvre, Mark Guiliana, and Jason Lindner.
